Penalty Nations 2026 — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Penalty Nations 2026 (“the App”, “the Game”) is developed and published by Cozy Retro Games (“we”, “us”, “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how that information is used, and the choices you have.

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate and maintain the App. We do not sell your personal data, we do not display third-party advertisements, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do use a crash-reporting service to keep the App stable, as described below.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data Collected Automatically (Online Features)

When you use the online features of the App — the Online Duel and the global Leaderboard — the following data is processed:

2.2 Crash and Diagnostic Data

To keep the App stable and fix problems, we use Firebase Crashlytics. If the App crashes, Crashlytics automatically collects diagnostic information such as the type of crash, a crash log / stack trace, the device model, the operating system version, the App version and a randomly generated Crashlytics installation identifier. This data is used solely to diagnose and fix bugs and to improve stability. It is not used to identify you personally and is not used for advertising.

2.3 Data You Provide

  • Game Center display name: When you play an Online Duel, your Apple Game Center display name is shared with your opponent and stored alongside your leaderboard entry, so other players can see who is ranked. Likewise, your opponent’s display name and chosen country are visible to you and recorded with the match result.

We do not ask for your real name, email address, phone number or any other contact details inside the App.

2.4 Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following information is saved locally on your device using standard iOS storage and is not transmitted to us:

  • Your selected national team, goalkeeper skin and ball skin
  • Your single-player and personal statistics (shots, goals, accuracy, best streak, win rate)
  • Sound, haptics and notification preferences
  • Your in-app purchase / unlock status

Uninstalling the App removes this local data from your device.

3. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services. Each is governed by its own privacy policy:

  • Google Firebase — Authentication (anonymous sign-in) and Cloud Firestore, used for the online leaderboard. See the Firebase Privacy and Security information.
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics — automatic crash reporting and stability diagnostics (see Section 2.2). See the Firebase Privacy and Security information.
  • Apple Game Center — matchmaking and player identity for Online Duels. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
  • Apple StoreKit / App Store — processing optional in-app purchases. See the Apple Privacy Policy.

Apart from the crash reporting described above, the App does not integrate any advertising networks, marketing-analytics, attribution or cross-app tracking SDKs.

4. Apple Game Center (Optional)

The Online Duel uses Apple Game Center to find an opponent and to identify players. Game Center is optional: you can play the entire single-player experience (Duel against the computer) without signing in to Game Center. If you choose to play online, your Game Center display name is visible to your opponent and stored with your leaderboard entry. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy, and you can manage your Game Center settings at any time in the iOS Settings app.

5. Advertising

Penalty Nations 2026 does not display third-party advertisements. We do not use advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA), and the App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, because it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

6. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases (for example, goalkeeper and ball skins). All payments are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. The App only receives confirmation of which items you own so that it can unlock them on your device. You can restore previous purchases at any time from within the App.

7. Data Storage & Retention

  • Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
  • Online leaderboard data (anonymous identifier, Game Center display name, selected country and gameplay results) is stored on Google Firebase servers for as long as the leaderboard service is operated, or until you request its deletion.
  • Crash and diagnostic data is retained by Firebase Crashlytics for a limited period (generally up to 90 days) and is then deleted automatically.

We keep data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data.

For users in the EU / EEA and the United Kingdom (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase (“right to be forgotten”), restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.

For users in California (CCPA / CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights — including deletion of your online leaderboard entry — contact us at info@cozyretrogames.com. Because online entries are tied to an anonymous identifier rather than to an email address, please include your Game Center display name and the approximate date you played, so we can locate and remove your data.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Our cloud provider, Google Firebase, may store and process data on servers located in the United States and other countries. By using the online features, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your own country. Where required by law, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact
